A welcoming, homely, colonial-style guesthouse
What a lovely place the Grosvenor is. We arrived a little earlier than our check-in time stated but we were greeted very warmly by one of our hosts Jonathan who helped us up the steep entrance stairs with our suitcase to our room. The property is on a private road just off the main road and was quiet and peaceful. Parking is in a bay at the front of the property. The property and decor was eclectic and fresh and had a lovely seaside ambience. Our room and bathroom was very spacious and comfortable and had all we needed and more for a very pleasant stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bedding bright and fresh. A nice touch was the complementary bottle of wine left for us on the table. We enjoyed that! At breakfast we met our other host Sue who was also genuinely friendly and welcoming even though at the time she was having a mini crisis dealing with a malfunctioning boiler. Breakfast was a relaxed affair on a lovely veranda overlooking Simon's Town naval base. There were cold and hot choices for breakfast and the hot breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Very tasty and generous as well. A short walk downhill got us to Simon's Town where we enjoyed a few drinks and some lovely food at The Smokehouse & Brewery. A taxi back at night would be advisable as the roads are dark and steep. Safe to walk around but keep an eye out for the baboons as they stroll into town in the evening! We are more than happy to recommend The Grosvenor and thank you to Jonathan and Sue for making our stay so pleasant.

Breakfast overlooking the sea was brilliant , nice big room attentive ,little treats good choice for breakfast Only one thing quite a few steps to the premises which can’t be helped if you want the view, it didn’t bother us and Johnathan took our cases up You must go to long beach

Heavenly stay in Simon's Town
If you want to escape to a place with all the comforts you need; peace and quiet yet close to places of interest, shops and restaurants; most helpful staff; spectacular views and parking, this is it. I recommend Grosvenor Guest House for short or long stays. The communication with the hst was also great.

Wunderbar und immer wieder
Die Lage ist optimal. Es gibt großartige Restaurants in der Nähe, Pinguinkolonie, Hafen und das Kap sind zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto sehr schnell zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war sehr fein, der Service und die Freundlichkeit vorbildhaft.

Excellent stay
We stayed for four nights in beautiful sea facing rooms. Sue and her team were helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Breakfasts on the balcony were a delight. Only slight drawback is there are a lot of steps which might be troublesome for some people. However they are worth climbing for the view 😀. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A Hidden Gem
This place is amazing from amenities, staff Jonathon , Zandi and Sue who were hands on , Adult only property 😀 Room 4 has fabulous views. Breakfast so much to offer. It is also 10 minutes from Boulders Beach and to visi the Penguins for just under 10GBP , plenty of cafe's and African goods on sale in the area. Simonstown Approx 10 minutes walk 🚶♀️ in opposite direction. Kalks Bay is beautiful. Capetown is 45 minutes by car. There is local transport , available cheap however will take longer 😀

Cute ocean view accommodation
Very lovely stay with nice well-lit and spacious rooms, in very close proximity to Boulders Beach and a 5 minute drive to the port, where we found nice restaurants for dinner. It was our honeymoon and we were treated to champagne and fresh flowers which were a very lovely surprise. Staff very helpful and accommodating. They helped us carry our luggage up the stairs and we had a wonderful breakfast on their deck. Would definitely recommend!
